I want to study for SQL Server 2012 MCSA certification. Aside from study material, I assume I'll need SQL Server 2012 itself.
What edition do I need? Is the free Express edition enough?
If all goes well earning the MCSA, I'd like to proceed to the SQL Server 2012 MCSE certification. Do I need the Developer edition of SQL Server 2012 to study for that?
If the Express edition is not enough and I need a paid edition, where should an individual go to get a good price?
(BTW, I'm not new to MCP exams; I've been a MCSD since '97.)
Thanks,
Greg

Get the Developer edition. It is only $50 and has all the features. Express has somewhat limited functionality.

And a lot of the questions are about Enterprise Edition functionality which Developer edition gives you.

Thanks all! I got the Developer edition.
To answer my own question about price, here's what I found:
$46.64, no tax, no shipping charge, from OfficeSupply.com. MacMall and NextWarehouse both had it a little cheaper, $44.98/$44.99, but both seemed to get a lot of complaints. OfficeSupply.colm seemed to have much happier customers.
I found several places that would have been glad to sell me the "Open license" version for about $30 without really telling me what it was, but my googling seemed to indicate that it has something to do with volume licensing.
