Hi all,
I have SSRS set up, with report server in a remote machine and I am able to launch report builder 3.0 from the Report manager URL, in my local machine.
When I preview a report and try to export it, it doesn't show an option to 'export to Text'. CSV option is there, but cant I export my reports to plain .txt files? Just wanted to make sure that I am not missing anything.

Check the configuration file of SSRS to see if it is enabled.

On second thought: the CSV option is the text file. But it has the .csv extension of course, but you can change this yourself in the "Save As" menu.
If you want it by default as .txt, you can always write your own rendering extension. Good luck with that 😉

Yes, changing the rendering extension while saving works. That confirms I am not missing any available features 🙂
