Hi
I have disabled the sa account on one of our servers. I noticed that the system databases are owned by this account so I was wondering if there would be any negative effects on the server after doing this. All seems to be ok at the moment but would this effect anything such as the ability to restore any of these databases should the situation arise ? Should I change the database owner to our domain service account which has sys admin access ?

No and no.
Disabling the account just means that it cannot be used to log in to the server. That's it.
