It would help if you provided more detail information, not much we can do with what little you posted. What is the error you are getting, what file or files are moving and from where to where. Was there any errors reported when you detached the database?

Hi Lynn,
The Detach process completed succeed without any error. The Problem is I cannot move the file on current Folder to another my prefer folder. For example the current file is on C:\Program Files\myapp\database and I want move all the .ndf, .mdf. & .ldf file to E:\Microsoft SQL\MSSQLDATA. Is always failed with error message when I did copy or move this file. I attach the screenshoot.

Sorry, but the screen shot doesn't help. When you moved the files, did you get any errors? If so, what were the errors.
Also, check the permissions on the folder from which you moved the files to the permission on the folder where you move the files.

Hi Lynn,
The screen shoot I gave the operation failed with the message error : access is denied. Even the current folder already get the permissions as everyone and admin, and also the new folder direction get permissions too. strange.. :hehe:

Did you get any errors while actually moving the files between directories? I think this is the third time I have asked this question.

Hi Lynn,
Please see my reply before.
I have. I see nothing to tell me if the actual move or copy from location a to location b worked without errors.
Suggestion, put the files back in their original location and see if you can reattch the database there again.

The re-attach fine, and the file still in there.. since I cannot move or copy that file on the onther folder. Thanks.

its down to NTFS ACL's where it locks the files to the user which detached the DB, so ensure you detach and move as the same user or detach then modify the ACL's then move then attach
