SQL Server 2008 Express install problem

  I tried to install SQL Server 2008 Express R2 on my laptop PC with Vista 7 operating system. Something happened during the install and it failed.

  I uninstalled all the components I could find and tried to reinstall but get an error message.

  Any suggestions appreciated.

  What information do I need to post?
