English question for a word

  • I will upgrade reporting server from 2005 to 2008 R2. I know the upgrade is supposed to upgrade the reporting service and all the reports to 2008R2 in the upgrade process. But in case the report is not working like what we expect, we do need the developer to deploy the reports from their solution or version control to the report server.

My question actually is for English, what is the word that describe the reports not work exactly as expected, or not working correctly?

    Thanks

  • In reference to your upgrade you describer it perfectly. It might be the word you are looking for is "broken"? We often say something is broken when referencing a portion of the application that no longer functions after an upgrade.

NP. We understand the language barrier and it doesn't hurt to ask a well-formed question such as you described.

  • if an application is not working as expected its known as "faulting". An object that is faulty is not working as designed\expected 😉
