taking more wait time

  • Hi,

    I found some of processess are taking more wait time and cpu and network. I have seen in acitivity monitor. so that what should i take action to take less wait time and all.

    Please give senario to go through this any one.

  • I can't even make a wild guess with this little information. If you want help, you need to give us something to work with.

    What wait type?

    What wait resources (if you can tell)?

    Steady increase in duration?

    Is the data volume growing?

    Is basic maintenance being done?

  • When i execute select query, I have seen in activity monitor of processor in that column name wait time is taking more....

    so i wish to know that how to troubleshoot this senario... please let me know.
