Whilst looking into possible memory pressure issues on a SQL Server 2005 instance I've noticed that the value for the PerfMon counter - SQLServer:Buffer Manager | Free Pages - continuously cycles from a value of about 40000 down to zero then back to 4000 over the period of a few minutes then.
The server is 32-bit with 34GB of memory accesable using PAE and AWE.
Does this indicate a memory leak? Everything I've managed to 'Google' up to now indicates that this value should simply be greater than >640
