  Hi,

  Can anyone give the comparison of auditing for SQL server 2008R2 standard and enterprise edition?

  From somewhere I read we can do some kind of audit in standard edition also but when I try to create audit in std edition, it fails. Gives the error 'Auditing is not available in this edition of SQL Server. For more information about feature support in the editions of SQL Server, see SQL Server Books Online.'

  Kindly suggest.

  Well that error means you need enterprise, dev (if not prod server) or datacenter edition.
