HI,
Today i was using data compression mechanism for one of table contains 6985423 records.
When i calculated the compression then i got three different values on
Three clicks(on calculated button)
compression type Current space Requested compressed space
Row 379.102 MB 379.158 MB
Row 379.102 MB 379.207 MB
Row 379.102 MB 379.102 MB
Two clicks
Page 379.102 MB 366.539 MB
Page 379.102 MB 379.169 MB
Why i am getting different and some times large size for compression?

it's a really tiny difference. never used the wizards - I always actually test on a test server and compare results - suggest you try the same.

It'll be making best guesses I suppose - there's always going to be a variation every time I guess.
