I have a Windows XP SP3 machine and I am attempting to install SQL Server Express 2008 with Advanced Services on it. The installation will run through to the end, but the following parts do not get installed:
Database Engine Services
SQL Server Replication
Full-Text Search
Reporting Services
I am an admin-level user on the computer, so I don't think there is a question about access rights. I can uninstall SQL with no problems.
Does anyone know why I would be having trouble installing SQL?

I have checked out the summary log file, which basically says that the four items I listed were not installed. I looked at the detail.txt file listed in the summary log, but it looks like all it says is that a process was supposed to return true, but returned false and that's why the setup failed...
