Hi all
We try to install Reporting Services 2005 as a second instance. But without success...
Situation:
Windwos Server 2008 R2
SQL-Server 2008 R2
Analysis Server 2008
Reporting Service 2008 as an Instance
Now we try to install RS 2005 as a second instance because of some problems with RS2008. But, we are not able to install. In the setup, the RS is always disabled. All the checks are ok. We did also all the things like IIS 6.0 compatibility and asp.net found on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934162/
but how ever, it is disabled.
Does anybody know whats wrong?
Thanks a LOT for helping us

That means IIS 7.5 configuration is not correct for SSRS 2005, the first thing I remember in IIS 7.5 Windows authentication is disabled by default you have to enbale it. This happened to me in HP laptop it took many tries to get the SQL Server 2005 installer to enable SSRS 2005. If you could try installing SQL Server 2005 before installing 2008.

Thanks for your Feedback.
We already activate Windows authentification, but it's the same. After starting
setup the RS is "grey" - disable to install.
Also all the points about IIS 6.0 doesnt help.
Any other ideas?

Remove IIS 7.5 then add it again and make sure you enable only what is enabled in the link below and make sure you are using only Windows Authentication. If you are still having issues then it is related to your setup because I have both running in two laptops.
