The conversion of a char data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range datetime value. The statement has been terminated.

  • I am using windows 7 professional. I have configured local host when i try to log in the webapplication it shows the following error message

    "The conversion of a char data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range datetime value. The statement has been terminated."

    the same website working in windows xp and windows 2000 perfectly and using the date format as "dd/mm/yyyy". pls. give me solution to rectify this

    in the window 7 the following are the settings

    short date 27/03/2011

    long date 27 March 2011

    short time 19:05

    Long Time 19:05:50

  • Use convert to specify the format, SQL's probably assuming it's mm/dd/yyyy, or switch to a data format that can't be confused - yyyy/mm/dd
