  Hi

  I have a time dimension View, where YEAR,QUARTER,MONTH,YTD,MTD are the columns.

  This View automatically populates the YTD and MTD by getdate() logic .

  I have used this view for building the Time dimension in SSAS.

  I also have hierarchy for YEAR->QUARTER->MONTH

  The Problem I am facing is that, the YTD is a separate column and for dates having year 2010 it would be 2010

  and for remaining dates it is NULL.

  The time dimension has two members for YTD ( They are YTD and Unknowmember).

  All the NULL Values are processed as Unknowmembers.

  When I browse time dimension in the Cube, the grand total for measures shows the summation of totals for YTD and Unknowmember.

  I need the Grand total without including Unknownmember.

  I have tried changing the dimension properties where we can set the Unknowmember property to Hidden.

  By setting this property it hides the Unknown member totals, but still the Grand total includes the Unknowmember totals.
