  I haven't got a chance to install sql 2008 yet.

  But I have a question about reporting service installation.

  I heard it no longer needs IIS, is that correct?

  So when installing sql 2008 reporting service, I don't install IIS first, or there is an option to use IIS, and which one should be most commonly used now?

  You're right, SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 does not use IIS and in fact there can be issues with having IIS and RS 2008 on the same server.
