I would like to test and evaluation sql server 2008.
I downloaded an enterprise version of sql 2008 and I will install it on a testing machine.
This machine will be only used for testing purpose for me as a dba.
My question is about the license, I don't think I need to buy the license for testing purpose and single user only , correct?
I know there are 180 days trial one, but can I keep this for more than 180 days just for my testing purpose?
Thanks

You should contact Microsoft for these kinds of questions. At 180 days that will expire and you can't extend it, just install a fully licensed version. For the kind of testing you're talking about, you'd be better off getting a developer's license. they run about $50 and you get everything, just connection & resource limited.
