Is anyone familiar with Data Protection Manager? We are using it here (though no one knows much about it), and have a situation where DPM is trying to take log backups of a database in Simple recovery mode. How/where can we stop this?
Any help is greatly appreciated as we're getting repeated errors. Thanks.

Did you change to recovery model from the database recently to simple?
According to this article (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb808756.aspx), DPM should detect the recovery model of the database in the protection group. If you later on change the recovery model, DPM will continue as configured initially.

Thanks for the link. I'm not sure who or when the recovery model was changed, but based on the article you supplied, it appears things were done out of order. This helps, though.
