I've got a couple different configuration issues.
First SSMS 20008 I need to be able to manage a few Ancient DTS jobs. I've installed the SQLServer2005_BC.msi b/c the first failue notice I recieved said I need to install the backward compatablity pack. Once that was installed, the failure notice said I needed to install SQLServer2005_DTS.msi. I can see both in my installed programs, but I still get the failure notice about needing the DTS components.
Next I tried to install SSMS 2005 on my Win7 Enterprise 64bit workstation, but the install stops, saying it does not work on this platform (SQLServer2005_SSMSEE.msi).
Lastly I tried to install sql2kdesksp3.exe or sql2ksp3.exe on the workstation, which of course failed too.
The current work around is to keep my old workstation alive that has SSMS 2005 so I can at least get to the DTS jobs, but obviously I'd like to get everything on one box if possible.
P.S. Yes the plan is to get out of SQL DTS 2000, but for the time being I need to keep the plates spinning.
