Maximum number of users allowed to access SSAS cube

    I need an answer on the maximum number of users that can be allowed to browse at a time. I came to know about prespective to place limits on cube browsing, but what is the maximum limit of users at a time to access the cube? Please help.

    It depends.

    How many users are there? What are the specifications of the server?

    How is the cube constructed? How big is the cube?

    There are too many variables to take into account, so there is not an easy answer.

    The purpose of a cube is to expose the data in an easy to slice-and-dice way to end-users. So normally, a lot of people should be able to browse your cube.

    If performance is an issue, look into partitioning and designing aggregations.

    Regarding perspectives: they just help out in the lay-out. They are not security or performance mechanisms. Not every client tool supports them. And you can still access everything in the cube using MDX.
