server athentication login failed

    iam new to sql server 2008.can u tell me how to login in "sql server athentication"?

    is there any default login id and password?

    is this depends of operating system?

    plz tell me what can i do now......................

    Your first step would be check to see if SQL Server Authentications is enabled on your server.

    Right click on the server in Management Studio -> Properties -> Security and check the Server authentication option and make sure that 'SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode' is checked.
