hello forum,
Guys, i have uninstalled the MS Visual Studio 2005 from my system yesterday as it did not have all kinds of projects in it. When i am trying to open the BIDS, it says "unknown error" in a message window whose title is "microsoft visual studio macros".
I have reinstalled the MS Visual Studio 2005 and try to open it again and still have the problem opening the BIDS.
What should I need to have in order my BIDS to work?
Should i just uninstall the whole SQL server? By the way, my SQL management studio works fine.
Thank you
Shilpa

You might need to reinstall BIDS. That and Visual Studio share a lot of resources.

SQL Server install disk. Just choose the option for "Client Tools Only".
