Hi,
I have XP pro as my OS with SP2 on it, I am trying to install developer edition of SQL 2005 on my system. However, when i try to install it, it throws up an error message
"Failure setting security rights on user account SQLServer2005DTSUser$Computer name"
can someone plz tell me how to solve this problem. I need a decent solution coz i am tired putting up the same question in a lot of sql forums.

Are you an administrator on your machine?
What edition of SQL Server 2005 are you installing?

well on my system yes I am the admin. In integration services it was giving me a problem coutesy the log file . So I uninstalled sql server 2005 completely from my system after that did a fresh install and in that I dint select the integration service component, went ahead and tried to install it.still no luck but no error message is generated
one more thing when i try 2 install SQL i dont see any client components like BIDS or SQL management studio. So i went back to tools folder to install those components specifically BIDS and SSMS but it says these components are already installed.
if its installed why cant i see the SSMS or open it ??
