Those of you who have assisted me in the past will be glad to hear that I am finally taking some formal training and hopefully can start answering questions on this forum soon instead of always asking. Now to my questions...
During this training they were talking about the "Summary Page" and they were showing how it shows you reports on the servers health and so on....
I couldn't believe that I had somehow missed this little tidbit on my SQL Server 2005 Enterprise installation so I hurriedly went looking for.... only to find that I don't have it!!! I do have Object Explorer Details but it doesn't give me the nifty Reports section.
I checked Help and it told me how to select Tools - Options and to enable it. The problem is that Summary Page isn't even available for me to choose from.
What's the problem here??? Was the summary page an update to SSMS 2005 and I haven't applied that update or is it something else? Anyone have any ideas? This is not a major issue but I would like to find out why it's not working....
Thanks!

Are you talking about the Server Dashboard? Has the configuration details, activity details, etc.
Most of the server reports are easy enough to get by right-clicking the server connection (in the object explorer), and going to Reports. Check there, see if that has what you're looking for.

Yep, they are all there. Thanks!
I still wonder why my installation doesn't have that as an option for me on the right-side of the screen. In my training class the first page that appears is called the "Summary Page" and it has the reports drop-down right there... My installation has "object explorer details" on the right and no reports drop-down.
Oh well, I'm getting bogged down in the minutia... I can access the data and that's really all that matters.
Thanks for your help!

It might be a custom add-on. If you do an online search for management studio add-ons, there are some good tutorials and articles on how to build them.
