Hi All,
I am aware this is a common problem and therefore I have looked through a number of posts with solutions to this but sadly none seem to be working for me.
- I have a Data Warehouse DB stored on a server running SQL Server 2005.
- On my machine I have created an Analysis Services project. I set the Impersonation Information in BIDS on the Data Source as "Use the credentials of the current user" and the connection test was successful
- Even in BIDS the cubes and dimensions will not process because of this error
- I have checked in VS and the Impersonation Information is set to "Use the credentials of the current user"
- I have two Roles set up, first was an Administrator role with full access, and as that was not working I created a 2nd Role for Process Database and Read Definition. I am a member of both roles.
The error message is attached.
Your help will be much appreciated!

have you tried different options under the impersonation tab of the data source. Mine is currently set to use the service account

That has worked, thanks.
Annoyingly I tried the Current User because the the administrator role has me as a member, I also tried the Default setting because other forums said that worked for them - I dismissed trying the other two options. I won't do that again!
