Database Mirroring and Transactional Replication

  Hi

  Newbie needs help please.

  I've recently joined a firm that has set up database mirroring between 2 sites. They are going to do a failover test next week (manual failover to the mirrored database and then fail back). The current principal database has a transactional replication publication on it that is not included in the mirror site.

  When the database is failed over, will this break the transactional replication. If so, when it is failed back will the replication pick up from where it left off, or is it best for me to delete the replication prior to failover and recreate it after fail back?

  It can be done, but the mirroring and replication must be set up in a specific way.

  From your brief description, I suspect it won't work.
