HI All,
SQl 2008 get stuck when i am typing . after database name
Can you please let me know why this happening and how to resolve this issue.

It's probably the intellisense. Try turning it off.

Tools menu:
Options..
On the navigation pane pick: Text Editor: Transact-SQL: Intellisense
Turn off "Enable Intellisense"
