  During the install of a custom-built application, the app is being prevented from writing to the SQL Express database. Unable to manually create the database even with full administrative rights to the machine.

  Any ideas as to what might cause this.

  Perhaps permissions on the folder it's accessing? Perhaps permissions in SQL Server?
