WMI Error Installing SQL 2005 Win SBS 2003 R2

  • OK, I have a Win 2003 SBS r2 wich is DC. yes. Microsoft said something about DC, but it also said that it is possible.

SO, everytime i try to install i get WMI error. I have tryed almost every possible fix without any succes. It seems to be access permission or something.

Does anyone knows something that i dont, because i had found so many issues just like this one, but not a single real fix.

I will appreciated any help. I has been working on this for weeks now.

    Thanks,

    Matthews

  • I had installed SQL 2000 STD edition before. That was not built in. Now We upgrade the server from SBS 2003 SP2 to SBS 2003 R2, we installed all R2 components and we want to install SQL 2005 that cames on the R2 cd TEchnologies.

I uninstalled SQL 2000 and tryed to install SQL 2005 , when we hit setup i got this error message:

The SQL Server System Configuration Checker cannot be executed due to WMI

configuration on the machine MyServer Error:2147749917 (0x8004101d).

I have found so many fix, but nothing seems to work.

  • Sorry, Thanks for your help.

Yes it had sql Desktop Engine for SBS Monitoring and Sharepoint. But we had to install SQL 2000 for our CRM aplication. Now we want to upgrade the database to 2005.

    Thanks again,

    🙂
