I am trying to upgrade a computer from MSDE2000 to SQL Server 2005 for workgroups
When the install gets to the section where it checks for the requirements the install shows that the minimum Hardware requiremetns have not been meet
I have double and triple checked the requirements and verified they are all met.
3.2 GHZ processor
1 GB Ram
1024X768 Video
Mouse works
Network works
DVD works
any thoughts as to what could be causing the Error MEssage to show?

Where did you want to install your SQL 2005? In your desktop? You can only install Express Edition to your desktop, in my memory. Please check microsoft website.

What error did you get exactly?
Was it really an error or just a warning. If I remember right, you get a warning if you have less than 1 Gb of RAM, but that doesn't mean that you cannot continue installing.
Also you cannot really upgrade from MSDE to Workgroup Edition 2005. I would suggest to detach or backup your databases , then uninstall MSDE , install Workgroup edition and then attach the databases again.
