    OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server returned message "Invalid authorization specification".

    Not much information to go on, but I'll take a stab. Did you map a local login to a remote login in the linked server? You might try searching this site for the error message. I found a lot of threads in these forums that discuss the error.

    What's the provider and what were you doing? Not sure either, but looking for more clues.
