  Hi,

  I am installing (attempting to) SQL Server 2005 on my machine which runs XP Pro 64 Bit.

  At the system configuration check i get a warning which is:

  Failed to find the ASP.Net Version Registration with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).

  I don't want to go further until i know how to resolve this issue.

  I am a complete newby so any help would be appriciated.

  You need to enable 64-bit ASP.NET. Here is an MS KB Article that discusses how to do it, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894435

  If you are accessing the Setup files from remote server mapped on a network drive, ensure it available.
