Getting Error: 17803 Insufficient memory available

  • My server runs Windows 2000 Advanced Server sp4 and SQL Server 2000 sp3. The server has 4GB RAM.

    I am getting following error for my Production Server.

    1. Insufficient memory available

      >Error17803 , severity : 20,state:12 : this error is coming again and again  in the pig load time yeaterday and been noticed continuously many time why?
     
    2. Invalid buffer received from client.
     

    3. Memory is not releasing once it is occupied
     
    4. 1.5 gb memory sql server is ocuupying  as  it is  taking alot of memory. If we are making server down then it is releasing the cache and memory  but after as times go  is again taking alot of memory 1.5 gb or more  so it  means again Memory is not releasing once it is occupied.

    5. What is Audit Loggout? Why in profiler audit loggout is coming 3-4 times even database has thousans of users, so how it is maintained ?

    6. Audit logout in profiler showing  that it is taking 3 lakh milisec memory. which is not worth. why it is taking alot of memory.
     
    Please help me out.

  • Thanks Killer, what about audit logout. I had captured some traces where I found that Audit logout takes long long time... Its result I am getting long running transaction error from our BMC agent.
