Hello every one:
I am installing SQL Server 2000 on Win XP Professional 2002 SP2.
Now just two days back my SQL Server was running smooth having no problem. Today when i restarted my Laptop and when i try to connect my DB through Enterprise Manager it started to give me Cannot Connect, SQL doesnot exist or access denied.
Well i took the backup manually and after removing it completely reinstall it again, but now after going 100% install it gives this:
"Setup failed to configure the server. Refer to the server error logs and C:\WINDOWS\sqlstp.log for more information."
and when i refer the logfile there is nothing useful there, it says:
".

can you find something in the path you specified to contain the data ?
Is there a log-folder your datapath in the same folder as your data-folder resides ?
