  We are trying to install SQL Server 2005 on a VM. All lights come up green after the server scan. When we attempt to install, the install fails on the Database Services (Could not start SQL Server). Message: See Set up files or try to start SQL Server manually. When we attempt to start SQL Server manually we get: Cannot start SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) on Local Computer.

  Any Ideas?

  What's in the event log for the VM? I have SQL Server on multiple VMs with no issues.
