Mirror SQL 2005 always error

  • Hi all,

    I need set mirroring in sql 2005, with spec as follow

    Main SQL  (sql-data)

    - Microsoft SQL Server Developer Edition (9.0.3159)

    - quad core

    - win2003 server r2 enterprise ed (SP2)

    - IP 192.168.1.13

    - Domain sql-data.domain.net

    Backup SQL  (sql-backup)

    - Microsoft SQL Server Developer Edition (9.0.3159)

    - quad core

    - win2003 server r2 enterprise ed (SP2) 

    - IP 192.168.1.22

    - Domain sql-backup.domain.net

    error alwasy on step

    alter database ga SET PARTNER = 'TCP://sql-backup.domain.net:5022'

    go

    error display :

    Msg 1418, Level 16, State 1, Line 1

    The server network address "TCP://sql-backup.domain.net:5022" can not be reached or does not exist. Check the network address name and that the ports for the local and remote endpoints are operational.

    for sql-data (192.168.1.13) or sql-backup (192.168.1.22) for telnet normaly, with data.

    iwan@metal:~$ telnet 192.168.1.22 5022

    ============ SQL Utama ================

    iwan@metal:~$ telnet 192.168.1.13 5022

    Trying 192.168.1.22...

    Connected to 192.168.1.22.

    Escape character is '^]'. 

    if i use wizard mirror, message error as follow 

    Alter failed for database GA (Microsoft.sqlserver.smo)

    -> An exceptionoccured while executing a transact-SQL statement or batch. (microsoft.sqlserver.connectioninfo)

    --> the server network address "tcp://sql-backup.domain.net:5022" can not reached or doest not exist.Check the network address name and that the ports for the local and remote endpoints are operational. (microsoft sql server, error 1418)

    ----

    for other information, status firewall in both server status disable.

    (i test with netstat, port 5022 ready)

    Any suggestion, to mirror my SQL data and sql-backup

  • try using underscores (_) in stead of minus signs (-) in your servernames !
