The thing is this.
How can i truncate the log of WSS 3.0 that is 13GB and is on the SQL EMBEDDED 2005, cuz this is causing i'm running out of space on my server.
i trie to enter bye SQL SERVER 2005 managment studio but when i try to connect to that DB i can't.
the error is in spanish so im going to translate this
could not connect to SERVERNAME\Microsoft##SSEE.
Error during the establichment of the connection to the server. when connecting with SQL server 2005, the error is produced because the SQL server predertimined connect don't allow remote Connections (Provider: SQL network interface, error 26 - error during the look up of server or specific instances )(Microsoft SQL Server)
The SQL server managment studio when i connect appear my SQL appears SERVERNAME and that one that i put up there SERVERNAME\MICROSOFT##SSEE.
HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS ONE. HELPPPPP!!!!

I had this issue a while back. You won't be able to do this through SSMS. Unfortuately, I don't remember exactly how I finally backed up and truncated the log, so I will do some research (again) and let you know what I find. There are admin functions that can be done through WSS itself, and that is what i need to look at again.
I wish I could remember what I had done, but if you don't use it on a regular basis, you tend to forget it.

so you are saying that to solve this problem that is giving me headache, it can be solve by the sharepoint administration that it have or it only can be truncated using SQL.
other thing i'm trying to do this can i migrate from SQL EMBEDDED to SQL SERVER database.
weir idea but my brain can work not more on this till tomorrow.
but if you find out how to do this send your PO BOX an i send you money jajajajajja
10xs for the idea that can be truncated.

There is an admistration part to WSS, but I haven't been able to find where it is yet, mostly because I am at home right now. We had an issue with disk space a while back and it took me about a week of googling and searching through documentation to find what I did, but have since forgotten most of it.
When I get back to work, I will do some more reseach and let you know what I find. But yes, the only option I am aware of at this point is through WSS itself.
I would like to migrate our WSS installation off of Embedded SQL as well.
