SAP is still a major vendor and SAP people tend to get paid OK.
So it's not necessarily a bad idea to learn the BI products of SAP.
Besides, it is still possible that you have a mix of MS BI products and SAP products. For example, there are customers who still use SSIS for the ETL, but SAP tools for reporting.
Regarding the 2 years of experience: it's a matter of how you sell yourself.
Maybe you have only 1 year of experience with SSIS, but you used it a lot and very intensively, which might be worth more than a guy who worked with SSIS for 2 years but only did simple packages.
