All,
Pleased to meet you all. This is my first post here, so hopefully I've chosen the correct location.
I have started a new job at a software company running Windows 2003 servers, with IIS & SQL running in clusters. To fulfill a dev need, I need SQL to send mail notifications. Therefore, I have two questions:
1) My first step is to add the SMTP service to the SQL server, correct?
2) Is there any problem with just going into Add/Remove Windows Components to add SMTP on the CLUSTER?
2b)Asked another way: Do I have to suspend the secondary node, add SMTP there, reactivate it, fail over, suspend the new secondary node, and add SMTP there?

No one has any clue about this one?

Wow - I guess either I've asked too difficult a question, or these forums aren't very active.
