SQL Server in a virtual environment for production

    I have been trying to get a feeling for using SQL2K on a virtual machine for production databases.  I can see where VM can really be useful in a dev situation but don't feel right about SQL + VM for production.  Is there anyone out there doing this and, if so, how well is it going?  Also, what made you do it in the first place?

    I'm not sure that microsoft fully support sql server on vm ware - from experience I wouldn't use vm ware in production. 2003R2 comes with virtual servers, maybe that's the answer.
