  Installing sql 2000 64bit EE on Windows 2005 64bit EE

  I am trying to install SQL 2000 64 Bit Enterprise Edition on Windows 2003 64 Bit Standard Edition, which I click on set up I receive an error message that says: "The image file ...\setup.exe is valid, but is for a machine type other than the current machine". The machine is using an 3.6 GHz Intel Pentium 4. Any idea what the problem is.

  This is a SQL 2005 forum.

  I believe SQL 2000 64-bit edition only runs on Intel Itanium and Itanium II chips.
