Hi There
I am currently log shipping the transaction logs from one server to the other. What I have noticed is that the trn files are constantly a certain size, however somtimes they get bigger. Is this normal? Could it be that vast amounts of data was captured and it is changing the sizes of the trn files that is being dumped for logshipping? Please can someone exlain this to me.
Thank you in advance.

What you'll more than likely find is that there are no tranasctions running against the database for the majority of the time and those times that the logs are bigger are times that coincide with data loads and updates.
The more transactions that occur in the timeframe between log dumps, the bigger the dumps will be.
