I'm trying to create a transactional replication on SQL 7.0 Standard Edition,
I have SP4 installed and I made sure that the services are running as the domain admin.
When I finally try to create replication by going to
Replication ->Tools->Configure Publishing and Subscribers.
I go thru all the steps using the default settings, when I click on Finish.
The following error occurs: Error 207:Invalid column name 'job_id'
The distribution database is not created.

Domain admin is more power than you need for the account, but won't cause a problem. I've seen other posts that have a similar error, didnt see a fix. Are you able to create other databases ok? Might be useful to profile what is going on as you run the wizard, see where the missing column name is coming from.
