Overall Scorecard ?

  • Is there an overall score card showing how everyone is doing (average) ?

Half these questions, I've never had to deal with on an SQL server, so I'm just guess most of them 🙂

  • Not yet, Brian is still working on it.

  • I'm view the Question of the Day like an Open Book Test. It only takes a few minutes to find the answer to the questions and I always seem to run across things that are new to me or help clear things up.

The Question of the Day is a great idea for your site.

  • Yes, QOD is a great feature. I specially come to this section to enjoy QOD. This is cool; keep it going.

But I am wondering what would happen to the points that once gathers and how to find out how many points has one gathered thus far?

You can find out how many you have by going to My ScoreCard on the QOD page. To answer the first questions, I should have something up this week to determine how others are doing in a give area along with your scores.

  • I agree whole heartedly with clete.brungardt@fhr.com that QOD ss a great feature of this site.

As a junior DBA I too use this as an open book exam and then do more research into the answer after I win/lose.

I find it great because it prompts me to investigate issues I don't normally experience in my position with a reliable SQLServer site.

    Keep up the great work.

  • Hi there,

as of this morning, a comparison between the rest and me is up.

...but I tell you, it is massively frustrating to see that I scored only 52 points compared to 52,104 which the other members scored

Now being serious, I think a comparison on absolute numbers is not appropriate here.

    just my 0.02 cents

    Cheers,

    Frank

  • Agreed. Still working on the scorecard. I need to flatten the db to make the avg scoring more efficient so it's taking some time.
