We are upgrading sql 7 to 2000 and are having some issues. The copy database wizard, fails, with error of cannot copy mdf file. Also the dts files need to be brought over. This is the current issue. We can restore the files to 2000 without problem, just cant use the wizard. The user names, passwords, permissions ect are not a problem. We just can not get the dts files over. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Again,
John

This may help on the DTS stuff:

What error message exactly when the copy mdf fails? You're moving the stuff to another server rather than upgrade in place?

We are upgrading on a new machine. The old machine is Windows NT with sql 7 and the new machine is 2000 Server with sql 2000. The error message was something along the lines of can not copy filename.mdf all permissions are setup to allow the computers to copy the information from one machine to the next.
Thank You For DTS Help.
If You Have Any Further Assistance Please Let Me Know.
Thank You,
John
