is there any way to connect sql server 2000 enterprise manager using an ID

  Since this is a sql2005 forum, I'll assume that you are attempting to use sql2000's Enterprise Manager to connect to a SQL 2005 instance of SQL server. This can not be done. You can, however, use SQL 2005's SQL server management studio to connect to a sql2000 instance of SQL server.

  Next time, please post the exact error message.
