Hi all,
I have done a new installation of SQL 2005 Enterprise on Windows 2008. The installation has completed successfully, but when I try to run SP4, it will only allow me to service pack SQL Server Native Client, Backward Compatibility and Microsoft SQL Server VSS Writer. It will not allow me to choose Database Services?
Has anyone come across this before? I have also tried to start from SP2 to SP3 and same issue.
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks

Sounds like its already SP4, what do you get when you run SELECT @@Version?

Can you post a screen shot of the selection page of the service pack with the engine clicked so we can see the details in the right hand column of the dialog box?
I take it the options are grayed out and not allowing you to select the engine option.

Silly mistake, I did an installation of 32 bit rather than 64 bit. All ok. Thanks.
