resotre job fail because of secondry file is missing.

    Hi,

    We have our mail archiver database in sql server 2005. We have configued log shipping on it to standby server. Database size is quite big with the size of around 40GB. Day before yesterday I have added one data file to primary database. After that restore job start failing. from last two days its failing. After checking I found that its failing because the secondry file is missing in standby server. now when I am trying to add file in standby it giving error that database should be in write mode.

    Please help me with a detailed soultion.

    I suspect that you're going to need to drop the log shipping destination and recreate it with another full backup from the primary before you can continue log shipping.
