  Hi All,

  Cannot connect Locally to instance sql server 2005 using Windows or SQL auth, but i can remotley with no problems.

  I have been trying for a couple of days now i think it is some corrupt dot net component.

  What i have done

  i can connect locally using sql cmd or osql with all protocols.

  Share memory provider is enabled

  Named Pipes is enabled.

  connections unlimited

  No errors being logged in event viewer or sql logs

  reinstalled sql tools and dot net 2 and 3

  SQL SP3 installed

  No errors regarding certificates, no encryption enabled

  multiple restart disabling and re-enabling connection protocols

  Server Reboots

  Any fresh idea's welcomed

  A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 0 - No process is on the other end of the pipe.) (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)
