Disk Queue Length

    Hi,

    We sql server 2005 EE x64 with SP3. We are using Spot light for Monitoring. We are getting High Disk Queue length while running Integrity check task via Maintenance plan. Is this normal to get High disk queue length while running Database Integrity check task??

    Spotlight Enterprise has raised an alarm:

    Connection: SQL1

    Time: 30/08/09 18:02:20.020

    Severity: High

    Disk Queue Length: Disk D: has an average queue length of 27.0

    Integrity check has to read every single page in the database. That's going to read a lot from disk.
