SQL Licensing

    I have a proc license SQL 2005 Server which has a view on that server to a linked server which has CAL licensing. Do my users hitting the proc license server need a cal license to the other server?

    That's an interesting question. My guess would be no since the proc license typically supercedes the CAL licenses, but it's an either OR.

    Are they authenticated users (in AD)?
